Hamstring Electrode Placement

In just a few short steps, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of your Compex® EMS/TENS device.

Where to Place Electrodes on Your Hamstrings

You’ll need two 2x4 Compex® electrodes and four 2x2 electrodes for the hamstring muscles. Place the 2x4 electrode vertically as high up on both hamstrings as you can. Ideally, place them where the hamstring and glute meet. Next, place two 2x2 Compex® electrodes side by side (a couple inches apart), at the bottom of the hamstrings.

If using the wired Compex® device, attach the black snap of one lead cable on the 2x4 electrode (at the top of the hamstring) and with the same lead cable connect the red snap onto the 2x2 electrode (at the bottom of the hamstring).

If using the Wireless Compex® device, attach one pod on the top with the other end on the corresponding 2x2 electrode.

Note: If you are wanting to run multiple muscles groups at once, you can use a 2x4 electrode on the top and a 2x4 electrode on the bottom, which would use one lead cable or one wireless pod per hamstring.

DJO Global, Inc. disclaims all responsibility for electrodes positioned in any other manner.
