Shoulder/Deltoid Electrode Placement
In just a few short steps, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of your Compex® device.
Where to Place Electrodes for Your Shoulder or Deltoid Muscles
You’ll need one 2x4 Compex® electrode, two 2x2 electrodes, and two lead cables. Place the 2x4 electrode vertically on the top of the shoulder and put the 2x2 electrodes side by side a couple inches below the 2x4 electrode. Make sure one 2x2 electrode is more toward the front of the shoulder where the upper arm and shoulder connect (just above the armpit) and place the other 2x2 electrode on the side of the arm.
If using the wired Compex® device, attach the black snap of one lead cable on the 2x4 electrode and with the same lead cable, connect the red snap onto the 2x2 electrode meaning one lead cable will be used for the right side and the other for the left side.
If using the Wireless Compex® device, attach one pod on the top with the other end on the corresponding 2x2 electrode. Just like the wired Compex® device, make sure the cables do not cross over to the other side. Twist the pod to tighten.
