Calf Electrode Placement
In just a few short steps, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of your Compex® device.
How to Place Electrodes for the Calves
There are two different electrode placement options for the calf muscle.
Option 1: Calf Muscle Only
You’ll need a 2x4 Compex® electrode and two 2x2 electrodes. Place the 2x4 electrode at the top of the calf muscle and the 2x2 at the bottom of the calf.
Option 2: Calf and Hamstring
You’ll need four 2x2 electrodes to use on the hamstring and calf muscle. Place the one Compex® electrode at the top of the hamstring and the other at the bottom the hamstring. Next, place one 2x2 electrode at the top of the calf muscle and the other at the bottom of the calf muscle.
If using a wired Compex® device, use one lead cable per muscle group.
If using the Compex® Wireless device, place one end of the wireless pod and attach it to the electrode. Twist the pod to tighten if there is any slack in the wireless cable.
