Biceps Electrode Placement

In just a few short steps, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of your Compex® device.

Where to Place Electrodes for the Biceps for TENS and Muscle Stimulation

You’ll only need to use two Compex® electrodes on the bicep. Before placing the Compex® electrodes, choose the best-sized electrode for your bicep. The size of your bicep will determine the size of the electrode. For larger biceps, the 2x4 electrode is the recommended option. For smaller biceps, the 2x2 electrode is recommended.

You’ll want to place an electrode at the start and end of the bicep muscle. Flex your bicep to find the start and end points of the muscle.

If you’re using a Compex® wired device, take the black snap of one lead cable and connect it to one electrode. Take the red snap of the same lead cable and attach it to the other electrode.

If you’re using the Compex® Wireless device, place one end of the wireless pod and attach it to the electrode. Twist the pod to tighten if there is any slack in the wireless cable.

DJO Global, Inc. disclaims all responsibility for electrodes positioned in any other manner.
