Besides the number of connectors, is there much benefit to using the one snap connection over the two snap that most of the units come with?

The large one snap connectors are generally advised to be used for recovery, or on some smaller muscle groups for conditioning, whereas the large 2-snaps are used on most muscles for conditioning.
